Let's get back to Business!

So after almost three years of hiatus...it would seem Simply Nefi is back in the game... And what better timing then spring to sink my teeth into some fresh meat...

So I shall start this renewal with a little cocktail I would like to call...

Do not Drink the Kool-Aid

I took a walk around the malls and spotted a few things that I am sure the marketing people, magazine industry and designers will try to convince you that you can't live without those items, therefore MUST buy them when some instances they have done their time.

I will say it again..

Do not Drink the Kool-Aid

So I am sharing my 5 absolute STAY THE HELL AWAY list in hopes you will take something from it and spread my gospel...

Anything that looks too EDIBLE should not be worn
I think that statement speaks for itself...We may all wish we were 12 and debt free but do we really have to wear what we have as candies as our accessories???

Short in front and longer in the back
I have even seen jeans shirts in that look... It most instances it may make you look young (as opposed to younger) but you also need to be tall and shall I say not carry any extra baggage in front to pull this off...Come on work with me!

I am not saying that some tops won't fit you or that you can't pull it off...just make sure it balances out before committing to it!

Thou shall not Choke over a look
Whether you're male or female please use the wrapping method in moderation...Need I say more???

Know when to tip your hat ''off''
They may be all over the place in every shape and color but there is such a thing as having a head to wear hats... if it did not look good in the store chances are it won't when you get home!!!

Last but not least...the Kim Kardashian heel
To be perfectly honest, before Kim there was Carrie, Beyonce, Rhiana...

Truth be told you're the only one to blame, they may be too beautiful to pass but from a male's point of view (yes I did my survey) even though they love a woman in heels, love the curves it gives us and the way we sashay when we are wearing them.
..

What they were unanimous on is the embarrassment or to quote them ''turn off'' when a woman can't walk with those heels...so do yourself a favor, if they are too big, too small or too high for you to rock...move on gracefully to another pair!

So one last time...say it with me:

Do not Drink the Kool-Aid
and start dictating your own style!

That was my point of view so feel free to share yours.

Until next time,

Simply Nefi
